Dominique Foolen-Mignot was born into a home where creativity was indispensable, her father being in advertising and in his spare time a wood craftsman and her mother a master dressmaker and art painter. From a young age she was taken to antique fairs and fashion shows, where she learned to appreciate artisanal skills.
Her professional career began at 16, when she was discovered by a modeling agency in the Netherlands, not long after that she moved to Milan and later to California.
She worked for internationally acclaimed brands such as: Marie-Claire, Fendi, H&M, Celine, Timberland, Etro and Elle and for Dutch brands; Marlies Dekkers, Mc Gregor and G-Star.
Traveling the world, visiting the most coveted places, staying at amazing hotels, working at awesome locations and studio’s she discovered a recurrent fascination for any- and everything connected to design and interior.
A few years after moving back to the Netherlands Dominique started her own company, “House to Home”. Taking her first steps in the world of interior design she started with expat housing, small projects soon became bigger and more notable.
Fast forward ten years, the company has evolved into a singular business and is taking on both residential and commercial projects, locally and abroad.
Operative under the name “Maison Mignot” with her own distinctive signature, Dominique’s aim is to create inspirational settings, whether is a beautiful interior or an amazing backdrop for a party.
